Hi,

I am currently using verison 4.8 of the smith cart installed on 6.0 of dotnetnuke. The verison of sql server I use is MSSQL Server 2008 R2

 

I have set up a small store but when clicking on an item from the Store i set up it gives me the error "A critical error has occurred.An unexpected error has occurred" When logged in under as a test account that is a registered user.  When logged in under the Super user account it gives "A critical error has occurred. Object cannot be cast from DBNull to other types."

Although if I go back to my store and click view cart it does reflect that I added the product to the cart. When I click checkout  it has me enter my address and such and since I checked the shiping calculator in the buynow settings. It asks me to Calculate my shipping charges, when I click calculate shipping it gives me the same error "A critical error has occurred.An unexpected error has occurred".

 

Does anyone know why this is ?

Hi Will,

Can you please clarify which version of the cart you are running?

Have you setup your Product Details Page and selected a Shipping Carrier for your Shipping Calculator?

Sorry my verison is 4.48, and I have set up a Product Details Page and I have selected a Shipping Carrier USPS.

Hi Kevin,

Yes I have set up my Product Details Page in my cart Settings (Under General Store Setup tab)

And Yes I have Selected a Shipping Carrier USPS and I Selected every Shipping method for my Shipping Calculator ( Located Under Shipping and Handling Setup Tab )

Hi Will,

I just tried to re-produce this error on my test portal and was unable to recreate the error but I may not have the exact same configuration as you. Can you login to our test site www7.smith-consulting.com and try to replicate the error. This will determine if the issue is with the latest version of the cart or an issue with your specific dnn portal/cart install.

I'm seeing this same error.  It only occurs when I have Product Category discounts enabled.

Which version of DNN and the Cart are you running? Which steps are taken to produce this issue?
