Hello,

The templates are created in the specified portals folder and have your store name prefixed on the template files.

For Example: StoreNameProductMain.ascx

Can you confirm if your "Store Name" has any spaces in it? If so, try editing your store name and remove the white spaces.

Hope this helps!

There are no spaces in the template filename. KingGageEngineeringProductMain.ascx

Hi Tom,

Does your Store Name have spaces in it?

It did. I replaced the spaces with underscores. Still doesn't work.

Update: It's working now. I'm not sure if this is it but I went in and named the store "Test". That didn't work but just for kicks, I went back into the template editor and noticed my edits weren't there anymore. Hmm. I put them back in and now they are appearing on the detail page. My site seemed to go off in the weeds for a long time after editing the template. I couldn't get any pages to display - like it was restarting or something. It finally came back and I saw my changes displayed on the detail page.

I'm going to go back and change the name back and see if that was the trigger but I won't get to this until tomorrow. Just wanted to let you know.

Hi Tom,

The Store Name needs to match the prefix of the Template. No spaces. No underscores.

See my update of the previous post... The store is named Test - like your test portal.

Okay, this is what I've found. Indeed, it looks like the Store Name must not contain any spaces in order for Product Detail templates to work.

I named my store "Test Me". I customized the page detail template. When I looked in the filesystem, there was an automatically generated file called TestMeProductMain.ascx. When I viewed the product detail page, my change did not show.

I then changed the name of the store to "TestMe". The TestMeProductMain.ascx file retained my edit and when I viewed the detail page, my change was visible.

Note that the Single Page template seems to work correctly regardless of whether the Store Name has spaces or not - I see my customizations for the Single page product list template when the store is named "Test Me" or "TestMe".

I don't know which way it is *supposed* to work. You indicated in a post above that the Store Name must not have any spaces but clearly it doesn't matter for the product listing template. Seems like the Detail Page template should work the same way as the product page and tolerate spaces in the Store Name.

If the Store Name truly must not have spaces, you need to make this clear in your documentation (which shows a Store Name of "Gaming Store" on page 17 in the manual that I have).

BTW, It looks like we can't have spaces *or* underscores in the Store Name either. Both "Test Me" and "Test_Me" don't work.

Hi Tom,

You should be able to have spaces in the Store Name, this is a temporary work around. In the next release of the Cart this will most likely be resolved.

Thanks for your feedback!
