I am trying to set up a store for a specific Customer with multiple Ship TO addresses. I have set up the user and Buyer role and associated the user to the buyer role. Under Admin I would like to set up the main Customer record for this account and add all of their existing Ship To Addresses for their location. How do I do this? I see talk of Manage Customer Button but cannot find this button anyplace, I tried adding the SCAdmin role and associating my admin account to that. I assume somewhere there must be ability to add customers and Ship To addresses?

Hi Mark,

Which version of DNN and the Cart are you running?

Are you using the Address Book module? The Buyer Role is only associated with the Address Book module.

The Manage Customer button is located on the Admin Menu and is now called just Customers, I will updated the documentation. However this screen will not allow you to add multiple Ship To addresses.

Multiple Ship To Addresses are configured during checkout on the Step 1 page. Smith Cart will allow your customers to have multiple shipping addresses. In the cart settings under the "Checkout Step 1 Configuration" section there is a checkbox titled "Show Multiple Ship To". When "Show Multiple Ship To" is checked and the user is logged in, step 1 of the checkout will allow the user to manage multiple ship to addresses. For more information on the Multiple Ship To feature please see pg.238 of the SmithCart Manual.

SC whatever is latest (Just installed last week)

I was not using Address module.

My objective is that I need to setup logins and ship to locations for the one customer that will be using the store. They will have four people logining in and doing the purchasing for about twenty different ship to locations. I need to set up these twenty locations prior to an order being placed so they can just pick the location that applies when checking out of the store. What is the best way to accomplish this type setup with Smith Cart?

Hi Mark,

When this feature is enabled Multiple Ship To Addresses are configured during checkout on the Step 1 page. Smith Cart will allow your customers to have multiple shipping addresses. For more information on the Multiple Ship To feature please see pg.238 of the SmithCart Manual.

I would also recommend the Smith Address Book premium module. The Address Book module allows Buyers, Purchasing Managers, Customer Service Reps, phone order takers, and any other person who frequently buys items to place orders on behalf of others. For more information on the Smith Address Book module please see pg.266 of the SmithCart Manual.
