It looks like there has been a change in DNN 6.1 regarding jquery, and I think it has caused an issue with the Zoom images (possibly lightbox as well).

After upgrading to DNN 6.1 the zoom images no longer work and I get the following error:

jQuery is not defined

We are using DNN 6.1.0 and SmithCart 4.60

Not sure if there was a fix for this yet or not.

Thanks,
Jeremy

EDIT: Upgraded to SmithCart 4.67, did not fix the issue.

I've reverted back to DNN 5.6.3 myself because of other JQuery modules I was using (not smith cart).  The new DNN Control Panel is using JQuery.

You can try switching the Control Panel (under Host setting I believe) to Iconbar which is the old style control panel.

It might get you by in the meantime.  Good luck.

I am curious if any of the SC staff have any input on this issue?

Thanks,
Jeremy

Still no input on this? I am not using anything other than the cart and core DNN utilities on this site. Rolling back to DNN 6.0.x is not an option with this site as the flaw was noticed too long after the update to restore old files.

Can anyone else at least confirm this is a problem?

Thanks,
Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

I have attempted to re-produce this issue on my test portal but were unable to recreate the jQuery issue you reported, but I may not have the exact same configuration as you. Is there a particular browser, product setup, or process of steps which need be taken to produce this behavior?

Thanks,

Kevin,

The only thing on the site other than DNN CE (6.1.0) and SmithCart (4.67) is ifinity Friendly URL, which I have turned off to test without it. The error is still there.

The products are simply configured with one Zoom image. I have tried changing to hosted jquery in the Host settings, no change.

Reading on the DNN forums (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Forums/forumid/200/threadid/436795/scope/posts/threadpage/2.aspx), it looks like DNN has changed the process for attaching CSS and JS files, and as a result the order has changed. It sounds like they are going to return to the previous order, but no idea when that will happen.

There seems to be a work around, but it seems to be beyond my level of understanding at this point.

Hi Jeremy,

I have not been able to replicate this issue on our test portal running Cart v.4.67 on DNN 6.01 with Chrome, IE, and FireFox. Can you login to our test site http://www21.smith-consulting.com/ and try to replicate the error. This will determine if the issue is with the latest version of the cart or an issue with your specific dnn portal/cart install. Email me at kevin@smith-consulting.com if login credentials are needed.

Thanks,

I remember seeing issues with the infinity friendly URL and the latest DNN 6.1

I recommend you completely uninstall infinity (make a backup of your site first.) then test after "restart application" in host settings.  I know you "disabled" it bu I bet the files are still referenced on the site load.

* AND clear all temporary internet files on your client.  Try a completely different computer (that has never browsed your site) as a true test.

Take out other variables like this, to bring it to JUST DNN and Smith Cart.... it's up to you to test this.  Backups are your friend.

It probably is the order of files the DNN has changed.... doubtful if that will change any time soon, DNN is leaning on "Make a backup and restore if DNN 6.1 does not work" and they will continue to lean on this and only focus on the Paying PRO customers.  Us community guys just have to be more careful and wait for Pro users to experience the same so it get's fixed.

Good luck!
