Is there a way to pass the OrderId in the download link?

The download link is attached to the product so I would imagine it would need some kind of token but are they available?

For example, http:///mydomains.com/downloadlink.aspx?orderid=[[OrderId]]&sku=123

Hi Craig,

Currently it is not possible to pass the OrderID in the download link. Is there a specific reason you would want to do this?

However, you are able to enable the download link to be in in the Confirmation Emails which also includes the Order ID.

Thanks,

Hi Kevin,

Thanks, no problem.  Our downloads are unique.  We build the download 'on the fly'.  We also limit the number of downloads and have an expiration on how long the download will be available.

I think we can use the VariantID as an alternative.

The issue with that is that it isn't stored anywhere in the order?  How do you know what variants (tshirt color, size, etc) that are associated with the product in the order?  All it saves is the product sku.

thanks,
Craig

Any reason why this isn't included in the order information?

The variant group and variant name are stored in the order details table in the product name field as a comma separated list of name value pairs.
