When the user uses a coupon on his order, the discounts are showing up on the order confirmation emails to the purchaser and the store owner. But it doesn't show the coupon code that was used on the order. It also doesn't show it on the cart page once it's been applied. Is there a template token for the coupon code used?

Accepted Answer

After the coupon code is entered and the discount is applied the cart displays the discount amount on the confirmation page and confirmation emails not the coupon code entered. The coupon code is displayed in the manage orders screeen accessed from the store admin menu so you can see the coupon entered with the order. Also, the coupon entered is also stored in the orders table in the database. Currently, there is no coupon token that you can use to add the coupon code to the email.

Can a coupon code token be added to the product. It would be really nice to have so I can include it in the admin email sent out for an order. We use alot of coupon codes and we need to associate the coupon code used with the sales rep for commissions.

Thanks,

David

Hi David,

Which version of the Cart and DNN are you currently running?

When you say "a coupon code token being added to the product" are you referring to saving the Coupon that was used with the Order? Or are you referring to tracking the Coupons themselves?

Thanks,
