I have inventory management enabled, but when an item hits 0 the out of stock message appear, but the add to cart button is never hidden. Also, when dealing with product variance, my inventory never reaches 0 and those items are able to be added indefinitely.

Your help would be appreciated. I attempted to add a screenshot, but the form errors out on me.

Hi William,

Which version of the Cart and DNN are you currently running?

Regarding the "Sold Out" message, are you referring to the Product Listing or the Product Details page?

With the Product Variants, did you enter your variant skus and inventory using the variant inventory screen? The variant inventory screen is a sub menu option under "Variants" on the product menu at the top of the add products page.

Thanks,

Kevin,I am using Smith Cart 4.85. I am referring right now to the product listing page. I've added variant inventory as well, and those will prevent you from checking out once the stock has depleted to 0, but it never prevents you from actually adding the items to the cart. The upload attachment still isn't working or I'd show you what the product listing page is currently doing. Should product details also use the "SoldOut.png" for items that have 0?I do have the "show sold out message", and "inventory management" checked in the settings page. Thanks for your assistance thus far.

Hello,

When a product reaches a Quantity on Hand of "0" the "Sold Out" message will be displayed and the "Add to Cart" button will be disabled but not hidden, the user will not be able too add the out of stock product to the Cart from the Product Listing page.

Regarding Inventory Management on the ProductDetails page, the Inventory feature has not been programmed to check the availability of the Quantity on Hand for Variants from the Product Details page, it will determine the Quantity on Hand available for Variants on the Cart page.

If you would like to request this feature to be added the Dev Roadmap please post in our Enhancment Requests forum here:https://www.smith-consulting.com/Foru...

To be provided with a quote to develop this feature, please send a message with a link to this post to sales@smith-consulting.com. We quote all features enhancements below cost since it is enhancing the module and in most cases we can start work on the new feature within a week.

Thanks,

Kevin,The out of stock message appears on the product listing page, but the add to cart button is not disabled and still allows the user to add the item to the cart.As far as the extra feature goes, I'll add that as an enhancement request, but I doubt that my client will want to pay for this functionality at the present time. Can you give me any insight as to why the "add to cart" button is not disabled? Thanks

Hi William,

I just tried to reproduce this issue on my test portal and was unable to replicate the same behavior you are reporting, but I may not have the exact same configuration as you. Which version of DNN are you currently running?

Can you login to our test site and try to replicate the error? This will determine if the issue is with the latest version of the cart or an issue with your specific dnn portal/cart install.

Please send a message with a link to this post to kevin@smith-consulting.com if login credentials are needed.

Thanks,

Kevin,Sorry about the delayed response. We are using DNN 6.1.3. I'll send an email soon to get test site credentials.

Kevin,Inventory Management isn't even enabled on the test site and, while I was able to test (I've since been locked out of administrative functions on the test site) the cart prevented me from adding an item with 0 inventory to my cart - it seems to be working. I've gone through my site and I seem to have all of the appropriate options selected, but it isn't behaving anything like that as far as inventory management goes. Please advise.

Hi William,

Not sure why the Admin role was removed from the user credentials you were sent but I have re-added Admin access if you would like to configure the settings to match your store to see if the issue can be reproduced.

If you cant recreate the issue on the test portal, possibly something with your cart install has gotten out of the sync.

To verify this, you can create a fresh DNN sandbox on your desktop or laptop using the following link and install SmithCart which should isolate the issue as being in the Cart or your server/DNN portal setup.
