We cannot send emails from our shopping cart. We configured the email templates, and any other from emailers on the website work just fine, including the smtp test that comes in dnn. Orders are already in the database.

 

Upon inpecting the site log these entries were found when placing orders:

I tried from the order management page to email the order and apparently that works, but not when the order is placed

Hello,

How do you have your Cart Settings configured? Primarily your Payment Setup, Shipping and Handling Setup and Tax Setup sections.

I am unable to test this issue on the same version of the Cart as you are running as the current version released is v.4.86. To confirm the issue is fixed in the latest version of the Cart you can download the trial version and then upgrade to the latest build to fix the issue. As always we recommend doing the upgrade in a test environment and make sure you have a full backup before installing on your live site.

Would i be able to get a new license without paying for one, as the shopping cart was bought about 90 days ago. UPS shipping had some issues too where the weights in ounces were treated as pounds.

After the upgrade the shipping methods work just fine but emails still are not sending.

Hi Stefan,

I just tried to re-produce this error on my test portal and was unable to recreate the error but I may not have the exact same configuration as you. Can you login to our test site http://www7.smith-consulting.com/ and try to replicate the error. This will determine if the issue is with the latest version of the Cart or an issue with your specific DNN portal/Cart install.

I guess this error is taken care of right now. The emails started working a few hours after the upgrade.

Hi Stefan,

Thanks for posting back Glad this issue has been resolved.

After an upgrade resetting IIS, clearing the DNN cache, and restarting the application can also help to clear any data still in session.
