I saw another thread that had no solution in it on the subject of "Excluding Coupons not working".

 

I have SmithCart 3.88 on DNN 05.06.00 (459).

 

I have set up a discount of 5% for all items, but have marked several of the items as "Exclude Coupons". When I add one of those items to the cart and put in the coupon, it deducts 5%.. going against all logic.

 

Was there a fix for this or an additional setting?

Hi Tony,

I am unable to test this issue on the same version of the Cart as you are running as the current version released is v.4.92. To confirm if this exists in the latest version of the Cart you can download the trial version and then upgrade to the latest build to fix the issue. As always we recommend first doing the upgrade in a test environment and make sure you have a full backup before installing on your live site in case you need to rollback.

You can create a fresh DNN sandbox on your desktop or laptop using the following link and install SmithCart so you can verify correct behavior which should isolate the issue as being in the Cart or your server/DNN portal setup.

Downloaded 4.92 and the "Exclude Coupon" option for items still doesn't work.. not even in version 4.93.

Hi Tony,

Thank you, I have been able to replicate the issue of the when the "Exclude Coupon" is enabled, the coupon be applied to the product after entering the Coupon Code on the Cart screen. I have forwarded this issue into programming and will post back to this thread as soon as an update is available.

Yes, this issue has been resolved and the fix will be included in the next release of the Cart v.4.97.
