Smith Cart 4.86 on DNN 6.1

I have configured shipping method "Custom Ship Methods By Quantity" and added a method for quantity 0-10000. Also I tested for other shipping methods. But still my cart is displaying as shipping free.

It seems an error with the module or have I missed anything? Please advise.

Sub Total : $26.00

Shipping Fee : $0.00
Discount : -$0.00
Handling Charge : $9.50
Total :  $35.50
GST Included (10%): $2.36

Hi Prasad,

When configuring your quantity range on the "Manage Shipping By Order Quantity" screen, have you selected a Zone and Ship Method?

Thanks,

Hello,

As I told you the module is great. I need the support as well. :-)

I tried to attach jpg and zip files to this editor and it is not attaching. giving an error. So I uploaded it to my server.

Please have a look at screens I uploaded them as a zip file here. Please download it.

1)Please let me know why is this not working? What else should i have to configure? I have tried with different values in screen 2. I have just added a handling chage since the shipping method is not working. But I do not want a handling charge and  just want the shipping method which is displaying as "Standard".

2) There should be another shipping option called "register post". Users can select this option as an optional option who wants to receive goods through register post for an extra 3usd fee.

Tnx

Hello,

As you know, it is working for you is not an answer for us since it is not working your module  in our site. I have configured all the settings as per your requests and also I checked the values as per your last screens.

Shall I send you admin logins to check the settings? So please can you send me an email address to send the details?

Where is your last screen with the dropdown of selecting shipping method? Even that is not on my steps.

I am using

The DotNetNuke application version 06.01.02
Smith Shopping Cart module version 04.86.00

Please advise ASAP.

tnx

Hi Prasad,

Do you have a weight set for your products?

Can you login to our test site http://www21.smith-consulting.com/ and try to replicate the issue. This will determine if the issue is with the latest version of the Cart or an issue with your specific DNN portal/Cart install. For login credentials please send an email with a link to this post to kevin@smith-consulting.com.

Thanks,

Hi,

I sent a reply to your email with login details. Please can you check it? I just tried with all other shiping methods. But non of them are applying to the cart. It seems there is an issue.

Tnx

Hello,

Thank you very much for your reply to my email. I think you should mention in your SmithCart Manual guide document that the product weight should not be 0 to apply shipping methods. that is what I've missed.

For the zone settings - I selected all zones from the lest dropdown lsit and exported to the right side menu. Then saved. But when I check to edit it there are only A-B countries only. Why is this?

Thank you very much for your supports given so far.

Tnx

Hi Prasad,

Per the Change Log, which can be found to the left of this thread, I believe this issue was addressed in the release of SmithCart v.4.92. Upgrading to the latest version should resolve this issue for you. When upgrading, it is always recommend the you first do the upgrade in a test environment and make sure you have a full backup before installing on your live site just in case you have you need to rollback.

Thanks,

Ok. Thank you very much for the reply and for the support, But it will be a bit difficult to upgrade the module since I have donr lot of changes to the template theme files and .ascx files. If I upgrade it, I will lost my data. Is there any way that I can upload a .dll file or another file to fix this issue? Tnx

Hi Prasad,

If you have made changes to the ascx files they will be overwritten so please see the following forum post for advice on preserving your changes:
http://www.smith-consulting.com/Forums/forumid/13/threadid/3833/scope/posts.aspx

Additionally, I would recommend using a file comparing program such as WinDiff to compare the differences between the files you have modified and the new files so you can apply the same modifications to the new files.

Thanks,
