Hi,
I created the users and roles as you describe in your last manual.
I am using the 4.67 SC version.
But, I can't see any user in the dropdown list of Smith.AddressBook module.
Could you help me, please?
Thanks

Hi,
In order for customers to show up in the customer dropdown in the address book module you have to have both "customers" and "buyers" in the proper "SCBuyer" DNN role. Please do the following to ensure customers show up in the dropdown:
Step 1 - Add "SCBuyer" DNN Roles
Go to the DNN Admin menu and select “Security Roles” and enter the following roles corresponding to how many unique buyers you have:
For example:
-
SCBuyer1
-
SCBuyer2
-
SCBuyer3
-
SCBuyer4
-
Etc. etc.
Step 2 – Create Buyer DNN Accounts
From the DNN Admin menu and select “User Accounts”. Create all the DNN accounts for your Buyers that will placing orders on behalf of others. Alternatively, you can ask the Buyers to create their own DNN accounts in your DNN portal by clicking on the “Register” link and create an account as a normal user would do when creating an account in your DNN portal. If the Buyers already have registered and created DNN accounts in your portal you can skip this step.
Step 3 – Assign Buyer Users to SCBuyer Roles
From the User Accounts screen (same screen from Step 2) click the pencil next your buyer user account to edit the user. Next, click the link titled “Manage Roles for this User” and Select the “SCBuyer” role you created and click “Update User Role”. The Buyer will now be a member of the “SCBuyer” role.
Step 4 – Assign Customers to SCBuyer Role
If your customer/dnn user account you want your buyer to buy for already exists, then you need to assign the "SCBuyer" role to the customer from the DNN Admin menu - user account - manage roles screen.
If the customer/dnn user account does not already exist, then you can add them using the address book module. Click the “Manage Customers” button on the address book module to create customers and assign the buyer role to them.
Step 5 - Login as Buyer
Logoff as admin and login using one of your Buyer DNN Accounts and the customers assigned to same "SCBuyer" role that you are logged on with will show in the customer dropdown.

Hi Scott, thanks. I have the enviroment like you sad, that is the information in the manual.
I just have one doubt.
Which information determines that the user is customer ou buyer? I didn't understand this step.
Beside that I have the users with SCBuyer role and can't see them in Address Book module.
Thanks

Hi Scott,
Now, on the latest version, I already can select the user in this module, but we have another problem.
When I choose a country different from USA, in this case Portugal and I write down the state as "Lisboa", I receive an error and can't edit the user anymore. The only action is delete it.
The error message is:
'ddlState' has a SelectedValue which is invalid because it does not exist in the list of items. Parameter name: value
How to solve this situation, please?
Thanks

Hello,
I have been able to replicate the issue you reported when adding a customer and choosing a country other than the U.S., the customer will be saved correctly however when selecting "Edit" an error will be produced. I have sent this issue into programming and will postback as soon as an update is available.
Thanks,

Hello,
At this time, I cannot provide an accurate estimated date this issue will be resolved, it will most likely be addressed in a future release of the Cart.
If you would like to prioritize this item to the top of the Dev list, we provide the option to utilize Priority Support. It is not required that you purchase support, just if you would like immediate attention to the issue you reported. We will then deploy the fix to your site as well.
If you would like to move forward to immediately address this issue please send an email to sales@smith-consulting.com, if not, we will do our very best to address this issue in the next release of the Cart.
Thanks,
