For Fedex Calculator we are getting an empty drop down menu and nothing gets added to the shipping calculations.  We don't see any errors in the event viewer.

This did work at one point and stopped working.  We have not changed any cart settings. How can we troubleshoot this issue to see why this is happening.

I found the following article. Could it be that Fedex has cut over to the new API which would invalidate our rates for Fedex.  This needs to be addressed ASAP or someone needs to tell me how to troubleshoot this issue.  Tried submitting an issue via priority support but I get an article missing.

Hi Jenny,

The new Fed Ex fields should not yet be required for existing installations until May 2012 according to the FedEx website. Iwill add this FedEx API change to our Dev Roadmap to be addressed we will do our best to provide a solution for the FedEx API before the May 2012 deadline. I will postback to this thread as soon as an update is available.

Thanks for your feedback!

Having the same issue across websites. I find the response about FedEx not chnaging the API until May rather troubling because it IS MAY. Need some resolution ASAP as all our carts that use FedEx are down.

SmithCart is already programmed to use the FedEx web service and is not using the API method that is being deprecated. The wsdl file with the Fedex web service url is located in the \desktopmodules\smith.buynow\Fedex folder and is titled "RateService_v9.wsdl". Please verify that you have the wsdl file in your dnn install.

Thanks for the reply. I do have that file dated 1/5/2012 @ 253KB. We are not using a FedEx # or Meter # and never have. Everything was working until late last week then nothing.

Any thoughts to why this has happened all of the sudden or a way to fix it. This is critical to stores that ONLY use FedEx. Right now they either can’t process orders or the orders process with $0 shipping. A real problem.

Hi Brian,
I think we have the same thread going in email. You mentioned in your email you have not entered a Fedex account # and meter # in the buynow settings shipping setup, try using your own FedEx account # and meter # and see if it works.

We aslo have the same problem on all of our sites. Everything was working fine until last week and no rates return.  I have checked the WSDL and everything is working.  What's going on?

What is going on with this request. Its obvious there is a critical problem and everyone appears to be affected using 4.93.

Hi Guys,

As of May 1, 2012, the FedEx API used to return rates and used by SmithCart has been deprecated by FedEx.

SmithCart v.4.99 will use the newer FedEx Webservices API (WSDL) which will be released very soon.

Thanks,

The Downloads section does not appear for me.  Access Denied.  Not sure if my membership ran out.  My websites are down so is there anyway I can get access to the update via bug fix or download.

Hi Jon,

Just following up on this post for anyone else reading. You have downloaded v.4.99 and are now confirming if the FedEx issue has been addressed.

Please postback with an update.

Thanks,

Once the page template is added it fixes the issue with 4.99 and the Fedex Rates appear to be calculating without issue.  Should be all closed.  It would be nice if you would provide logging for the response coming back from fedex.  It would also be helpful to have a fail over rate if the fedex webservice was not reacheable.
