Using 4.99

After trying variousconfigurations, I cant seem to get a coupon amount to apply once to an order total, rather it seems to be applying itself for each and every item in the cart, The same behavior as described here:

"Discount by Item in Kit – The discount by item checkbox allows you to apply the coupon at the order level or the order line item level.  If the discount by item checkbox is checked and the user enters a valid coupon then the customer will receive a discount for each line item they have in the cart.  For example, if the customer has two items in their cart and they enter a valid coupon for 5 dollars off then they will receive a total discount of 10 dollars.  If the discount by item checkbox is not checked the customer would only receive a 5 dollar discount."

I have this option unchecked, but if I have a 5 dollar coupon, and 3 items in the cart, the discount is $15.00.

Thanks for your help!

Hello,

How do you have your coupon configured?

Do you have an Order Level or Product Level Coupon configured?

Thanks,

I Just Tried adding 1 more

Discount by item in kit [unchecked]

coupon quantity: 1

Then left all Product Level Coupon options untouched, with the same result.

I was able to replicat e this and have sent it into programming. As a temporary solution, you should be able to enable "Inventory Management on the Cart Page" in the BuyNow settings to enforce the coupon limit.

Thanks,

Hi Kevin,

Thanks again for your help.

I've enabled "Inventory Management on the Cart Page" in the buy now page settings but it seems to have had no effect on limiting the number of times the coupon is applied, the effect is the same as initially reported.

Hi Kevin,

I just wanted to check in to see if any solution or work around has been found for this issue. I still can't find a way to add a coupon that deducts a fixed amount from an order total without having that amount multiplied by the quantity of items.

Thanks for all your help

Craig

Hi Craig,

This issue has been addressed and the solution is available in v.5.0 now available on the Downloads page. When upgrading, it is always recommend the you first do the upgrade in a test environment and make sure you have a full backup before installing on your live site in case you need to rollback.

Thanks for reporting this issue!
