Are the new booking featured designed to be used as a Vaction Rental or Hotel Rental booking module? Can the calendar be used to control inventory for this, so if a week is already booked for a product/property it isn't available?

The new booking feature found in the Product Setup screen is used with the Smith Booking module and handles bookings, scheduling and reservations as well as offer and manage all kinds of bookable products in your store which can be used for different types of businesses including:

  • Booking/Reservations
  • Accommodation Booking
  • Rentals - Hotel, Car, Etc.
  • Facility Reservation and Scheduling
    • Sports
    • Recreation
    • Conference Room Reservations
  • Event Management

Thank you for the info. But you didn't answer my question about inventory management and the calendar, and I didn't see this on the demo site or the manual. Can the calendar be inventory controlled to prevent double bookings of a property during a time?

Each Event's inventory is controlled by the Quantity on hand of each Product configured in the Cart. The ability to set a quantity on hand or limit for each individual date range or timeframe is not supported however this ability is on our Dev List.
