Hi guys -

I opened a support ticket on this as well. I'm not sure which you check first - but I was hoping to resolve this asap, so I'll post the issue here as well.

I am running SmithCart 5.17 on DNN6.2

Currently, I have the "Enable Sale Prices" checkbox checked on all of my BuyNow pages. My products are showing the sale price in the buynow module and in the product details module, but when you add them to the cart, it charges the regular price! I went through the entire checkout process, and it does indeed charge you full price.

Any help you can offer would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks.

Hi Alex,

Can you login to our public test site with the credentials we provided you with to verify that this issue exists in the latest version of the Cart v.5.20? This issue may have only existed in the beta version of v5.17.

Please let me know if I can help with anything else.

Thanks,

Kevin -

I logged into the test site with the provided credentials.

Sale prices are correctly showing in the BuyNow, Product Details, and checkout portions of that site. Not sure which version is on that test portal though.

Hi Alex,

The test portal you used in running version 5.20 of the Cart which was just released last Friday. Since you weren't able to replicate the issue on our test portal, if you upgrade to the latest version this issue should be resolved.

Remember, when upgrading, it is always recommended that you first do the upgrade in a test environment and make sure you have a full backup before installing on your live site in case you need to rollback.

Thanks,

Kevin, can you provide a download link for 5.20, or do I just download it from a downloads page.

Should my current license work with 5.20?

Hi Alex,

You can download the latest version of the Cart version 5.20 from the SmithCart Downloads Page and yes your current license will be valid as long as you install in the same domain you have requested a license for.

Thanks,

I've been trying to get to the downloads page for the past 24 hours. I really want to fix this.

The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

Kevin -

My website has hidden the "add to cart" button on the buy now page. The only place to add an item to the cart is on the product details page.

As such, when I was testing to see if the sale price error existed in 5.20 on your test portal- I was using the add to cart button on the Buy Now page.

After upgrading to 5.20 on my own test portal, I have found that the bug STILL exists in 5.20 - only it's more localized than I thought. If an item is added to the cart from the Product Details page, it will always charge full price, and ignore sale price. However, a sale price is correctly charged to the customer if the item is added to the cart from the BuyNow page.

Please look in to this as soon as you can. It's literally crippling my site, as every item has a sale price :( :( :(

Hi Alex,

Thanks for the additional info, I had also been adding the Product to the Cart from the Product Listing page and can know see that the issue occurs when adding items from the Product Details module. Programming has resolved this issue and I have just sent you a link to download an update.

Please post back if the update resolves the issue for you.

Thanks

Hi Kevin,

I can confirm that sale prices are now correctly being added to checkout when adding to cart from the Product Details page.

However - It would seem a new error has popped up. I am receiving the following error when trying to complete a test checkout.

"Error processing payment. Please try again. Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

This error occurs on every payment type. I have started a new forum thread for this error here:
