We subscribe to tax data from Avatax for use in Catalook.  We get a CSV from them that we upload.  Is it possible to use an Avatax CSV with SmithCart as well?

Hi,
Smith Cart supports importing tax data in the following CSV format

  • City 
  • County 
  • State 
  • Zip 
  • TaxRate
To import tax data in the cart you go to the store admin menu and click the tax button and you will see the import screen there.

What is the field format for the Avatax CSV file?

It has a lot more fields than that, but knowing what fields the module is expecting is helpful.  Thanks!

A couple options for you to import your Avatax csv file:

1. Use SSMS import wizard to import your csv

2. If you send the field spec we can provide a quote to program the import to the cart.
