Hi there,

we have set up a trial shop on a DotNetNuke 6.2.4 and have a problem with the Cart steps. I don't know the exact reason but may be one of you may tell me the solution.

I places a product in the cart. Then I proceed to payment. I may select or enter the address and click on "next". Then I got an script error by the Internet Explorer:

>>>>

Benutzer-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; Trident/4.0; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; SLCC2; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; .NET4.0C; .NET4.0E)
Zeitstempel: Thu, 20 Dec 2012 12:31:26 UTC

Meldung: Bezeichner, Zeichenfolge oder Zahl erwartet
Zeile: 1121
Zeichen: 17
Code: 0
URI: http://localhost/dnn_dev/SmithStore/t...
>>>>

Then the step of "payment method" is skipped and I am on the "confirmation" page. There is no "payment method" selected. But in the configuration I added "Authorize.net" as payment gateway and added also payment method "creditcard" and "cash". But none of these was selected by the system or added to the card confirmation step.

When I now make the final checkout there is also no order placed. Here comes the next error:

Es ist ein kritischer Fehler aufgetreten. Der Objektverweis wurde nicht auf eine Objektinstanz festgelegt.

translated it means, that a critical error has occurred and the object reference was not set to an object instance. So it is a null reference exception. May be because of the missing payment method.

May someone help me in this case?!

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

In order to help troubleshoot this issue please provide the following:

1. A screen shot of your BuyNow settings; General, Shipping and Tax sections
2. Screenshots of your Payment Setup screens; Payment Gateway, Payment Zones, Payments Methods screen

Thanks

Hi Kevin,

I have installed it on the testsystem of our customer and there I didn't get the same error. There it seems to work fine. For now we use this system for testmodification. But thanks for your try to help me. No offence!

Best regards,
Alex
