Hi,
I'm using V5.00 of smith cart and have an issue where every order that comes through my site has no shipping charge. I'm using custom methods by weight, and I cannot recreate the error when I do a test order....but my last 10 orders have had no shipping charge added. I have checked and rechecked my settings, but can't see any problems. Can anyone offer any advice, or have they come across this?
Any help much appreciated.

Hi Rod,
In order to help troubleshoot this issue please provide the following:
1. Screenshot of the setup screen of the Product in question 2. A screen shot of your BuyNow settings; General, Shipping and Tax sections 3. Screenshots of your Shipping Management screen; Custom Ship Methods,Shipping Zones, Shipping By Weight screen 4. The "From" and "To" shipping addresses of the order

Hi Rod,
Just to follow up on this thread, this issue was caused by in inadvertently changing the Shipping settings from Custom methods by Weight to Zone by weight. Changing the Setting back to Custom Methods by Weight resolved the issue.

Actually no. I thought that was the problem, but another order came in today with no shipping. After trying to recreate the error I finally managed to.
If you add an item to the cart, then delete it from the cart, free shipping will be made avaliable as the only shipping method shown. The user can then checkout without being charged shipping.

Hi Rod,
My apologies I did not see your response until now.
Which version of DNN are you currently running?
I would like to have you login to one of our public test portals and configure the cart the way you have your's configured and try to replicate the issue. This will determine if the issue you are reporting is with the latest version of the cart or an issue with your specific DNN portal/cart install.

I just ran across something similar... it may be the same issue for you. When you set up your zones, make sure that the "Free shipping orders over" has a value in it. Leaving it at 0 will present free shipping as an option.
Don't know if that's your issue, but it's something to check.
