Extending Smith Cart to provide a Marketplace or "Ecommerce Mall" capability to allow Individuals or Businesses (Vendors) to sell products on a DNN portal we can customize the cart to support the following requirements

The ability for Vendors (sellers) to sign up and register to sell products.

Once a Vendor has registered the ability for Vendors to create new products and sell products on a single DNN portal.

The ability for product(s) to be uploaded and managed by a vendor.

Ability for a vendor to review their sales and manage their orders

Ability for the marketplace admin to view/manage all vendors, products and orders

Hi Nathan -

Thanks for the inquiry. I discussed this with David as I thought it would be great if each vendor could specify their own payment gateway and David pointed out how difficult it would be to handle as someone could buy items from multiple vendors where each line item would have a different payment gateway. He explained it would work similar to the dnn store where the vendor would be paid a commission equal to the sale minus fees. I have not looked into it in detail as to how that would work but maybe there is a way to have smith cart initiate auto payments to vendors. Not sure. maybe David could jump in with a suggestion.

I am anxious to kick this project off so if you are interested we could split the cost.
