Q: How do I predefine several ship to addresses and have them available for other users to select from in the checkout process?

SC v5.25  / DNN v06.02.05

We currently have 3 business addresses that goods can be delivered to (in addition to their default dnn registered 'home' address) and I would like to know if there is a way that I can pre-define these 3 distinct delivery (ship to) addresses so that logged-in users can select from a dropdown in the Cart page of the checkout process? (rather than have to enter the details in 'Manage Addresses'). When they select one of these predefined addresses, the details fill out the form which is then used to auto-complete the Step 1 page.

I have looked through the options in setup and have the Address Book module available, but I can't seem to see how I can (as host) predefine these 3 addresses and have them available for any other user to select.

Any advice please?

Hi Mark,

Right now the two options you have to allow users to choose an address during checkout would be the "Multiple Ship To Addresses" feature which is configured at the user level or the "Address Book module" which allows Admins to place addresses on behalf of a user. Currently the ability to predefine Ship To addresses that can be available for all users isn't supported but we are available to program this ability. As a possible solution you may be able to utilize the Custom Shipping Methods feature to allow the user to pick between the 3 locations and it will be saved with the order but it won't populate the checkout screens.
