I know it's hard to diagnose, but it took 78 seconds to load a simple product page with only seven items the first time. After it's cached, it's a snap. Is there anyway to have a faster load time?  I have Smith Cart 5.0 running on DNN 7.0 with PowerDNN as the ISP. Thanks.

I assume you are talking about the product listing page. The product listing page is programmed to only retrieve the products that are currently displayed on the page so it shouldnt be a performance issue related to the number of products in your database. That being said I do have a few questions about your install:

What other modules do you have loaded on the page?
Do you have any social networking buttons on the page that communicate with facebook, twitter, etc
How many products and categories do you have in your database?

Have you done any performance and tuning on your DNN site as outlined in the following post::

Scott, thanks.

I have no other modules on the page.
I don't have any social networking buttons on the page.
I have three categories and eight products.

I'll check out Mitch Seller's post and do some more testing. Again, this slowness occurs when I clear the browser cache (I'm using Chome--it doesn't seem to happen with IE).

Since its only slow in chrome its is most likely an issue with chrome or something on your client machine. Are you using a beta version of chrome? Maybe try doing an upgrade or reinstall of chrome.
