First post.

I'm just configuring a Smithcart. I added some test products (3 or so), then I created an import spreadsheet in the required format for the live products, hit IMPORT. And... All looks fine, but, I still have the three test products visible.

I don't seem to be able to delete them either, very odd. I can see all the products I imported, and I can get into admin to delete them. I cannot see the test ones, yet they display as visible fron the front end.

Can anyone tell me how I can remove them, or even find them? (I did not set the cart up in DNN, it's my first Smithcart, so I do not know where things are yet) I have read the manual  but it's big, and there are gaps.

For instance, I see in the import spreadsheet that there is a column titled DELETE, presumably to force a product delete ?  There is no information that I can find anywhere on what to key into that field. e.g. Y, No, Del, Delete, KILL! Any suggestions for both my queries?

Hello,

Which version of the Cart and DNN are you currently running?

If you navigate to the Store Admin Menu > Manage Products screen > Are you able to locate the test products you created by using the search?

Sorry Kevin. Missed that information off. DNN 7.0.2 (ish) Smith cart 5.37.0.

I cannot use the search as it is not installed. I am (currently) only using the SC as a catalogue only, though this may change.

I have 100 products so far, but I can see 103 (the three extra are the original test ones) I cannot see them in the list when I go to Store, Manage products.
So I am stuck, any other suggestions I can try? Can I interrogate the database at all directly?

UPDATE.
I turned on the search and cannot find the duplicate (similar named) product but I can still see them.

Hello,

I'm not referring to the SmithSearch module or Product Listing Search box. In your Manage Products screen there is a search box located at the top of the screen (Please see screenshot below). Are you able to search and located the test Products using the Manage Products search?



If you aren't able to locate the Products via the Manage Products screen, I recommend deleting your test products via SQL Server by deleting their records in the Smith_Products and Smith_Products2 tables.

Thanks for the update and screen print.

I don't actually see that search box on my setup. It is off/disabled. I have temoprarily activated it (the cart is still in dev) When I turn it on and search for the products that are duplicated then I do not see then in a search result.

Looks like I will have to interrogate the Database.

I just find it odd that I should have to do that. If the product is being shown in the cart, then why won't search show it/them?

Hi Rob,

Unsure of what could be causing the Products to not show up without logging into your environment as there could be many causes.

Please postback with an update and let us know if you have any other questions.
