Hi Smith Cart Team,

I have a question, my site is www.aaliyawoman.com
I'm using DNN 6.0 and Smith Cart 5.0
I'm using currency symbol India, Rupees. But some other symbol is showing up. Please see the code below.
<asp:ListItem Value="en-IN" Text="India, Rupees - Rs" />

Can please take a look at my site. Click on shop page, observe the currency symbol which is displaying in the shop page at product price. This is showing up in the product detail page too.

Please help me out immediately as this a is a live site.

Thanks,
Swetha.

And 2 days before my site stopped working and I got the error security exception I mean security permissions.

And When I added trust level="Full" in the web.config file in the <system.web> then it is working fine.

May I know the reason why I got this security permission error. And is this a valid way that I added Trust level as Full in config file. Please let me know.

Also just because of this, did I got this currency symbol error in my site?? Please let me the solution ASAP.

Thanks,
Swetha.

Hi,
You had a working cart for sometime and then you mentioned that it all of a sudden stopped working, there must have been something that changed that caused that.  Can you provide any details about what changed in your environment that may have caused your site to stop working.  Please provide more detail on the security exception error you are getting. Can you provide the sequence of steps to re create the error and the detailed error from either the DNN event viewer or your IIS/Windows logs.

Thanks,

Hi,

Yes my currency worked fine previously, suddenly it got changed into some square symbol. We didnt make any changes to the site. My client just added the SSL certificate and reverted back in the godaddy.com. That's it.

Since then it stopped working, I mean security error I got and also the currency changed into some square symbol. My currency symbol is displayed in Rs. previously.

We didn't make any changes in the site except adding SSL certificates. After adding SSL certificates, the site is not working, when again reverted back, its not working. Then we made a change to the web.config file and added the line to the <System.web> Trust level="Full". The site started working but facing issue with the currency problem.

Let me know your suggestion at the earliest.

Thanks,
Swetha.

Hi Swetha,

Try changing your skin to the default DNN skin to see if the issue is still present.

Hi,

I cannot change my skin to default DNN skin bcoz this is a live site and I'm Albha brisk theme and I have customized CSS in it. It will reflect a lot, if I change it. Please suggest me some other option.

Thanks,
Swetha.

Hi Swetha,

When I looked at your site using Chrome Developer Tools I could see that your skin is applying a font that does not support the Rupee symbol. You can temporarily change the skin on the page with the BuyNow module to the default DNN skin to confirm if the skin is causing the issue.

Thanks

Hi,

I logged into the site and navigated to product detail page and tried changing the skin to default DNN skin which is present on the Admin menu... I mean after logging into the site, we get a panel on the top i.e., Admin, Host, Modules, Pages, Tools. Clicked on the Pages and tried changing the skin to Default DNN skin, but it is not changing the skin. Its is still showing the Alpha brisk theme only.

Please suggest.

Thanks,
Swetha.
