Hello,
We recently paid to have the following features added to the import products portion of the cart:
related products
product alt tags
We have tried to do some product imports on Smith Cart 5.54, but we receive the same error every time we try to import:
" 'Sheet1$' is not a valid name. Make sure that it does not include invalid characters or punctuation and that it is not too long. "
Any idea what is causing this? We tried renaming the file to various things, but we receive the same error every time.
Thanks -
Alex

Hi Alex,
Can you confirm the sheet name of your Excel spreadsheet that contains the data you want to import is named “Sheet1”? As the message you are receiving indicates, make sure that it does not include invalid characters or punctuation.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for getting back to me Kevin.
I can confirm that we tried multiple imports with the file name "Sheet1".
We confirmed that the file was saved in a .xls format.
We also tried several para-mutations of "Sheet 1", all resulting in the same error.

Hey Kevin -
We have done some more troubleshooting, and we have found that both the excel file name, and the internal "sheet" name in the excel file must say "Sheet1". Sorry if this is what you meant in the first place.
Any ways, we're no longer receiving that error, but now we receive the following error when trying to import: Error Input string was not in a correct format.
This is the error produced in the event viewer:
Import Products Error Stacktrace: at System.Number.StringToNumber(String str, NumberStyles options, NumberBuffer& number, NumberFormatInfo info, Boolean parseDecimal) at System.Number.ParseInt32(String s, NumberStyles style, NumberFormatInfo info) at System.Convert.ToInt32(String value) at Smith.DNN.Modules.BuyNow.ImportProducts.btnProductImport_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)

Upon further testing, I have confirmed that the import function works normally when no related products are specified.
The error is most definitely related to the new related product field we paid to have added to the cart. Could we be putting the data in incorrectly?
The format we are using is:
sku1,sku2,sku3,sku4,sku5
Thanks for looking into this in a timely manner.
Alex

Hi Alex,
I just checked with programming and feedback is that the related products column is expecting ProductIDs not skus. To import related products you need to enter the ProductID.
Hope this helps!
