We're using Smith Cart 5.57 - it appears that the spreadsheet created using the Export function cannot be Imported.

We have the 5.52 import template here, and it appears that a number of columns are missing from the exported sheet.

Is it possible to fix this so our client can use this feature?

Hi Bevan,

In v5.52 we added the ability to import Related Products and Alt Tags 1-5.

We will be adding these columns to the export program in a future release but in the meantime, to successfully import the exported SmithCart product you will need to add the Related Products and Alt Tags 1-5 columns to your spreadsheet.

I thought that's what you would say.

Why should my client have to use a messy work-around each time she wants to do a bulk product update?

Why would you update the import process but not the export process at the same time? Does no other client use this function to discover you can't export, adjust and then import back in again without the addition of several specific extra columns?

Hi Bevan,

The client who sponsored the import enhancement didn't require the Export to also be updated in the scope of the project; however, it was added to our developers queue of things to look into.

The updated Export function will be available in the next release of the Cart.
