I set up a Product Variant with the Variant Description containing a % sign - specifically it was "Costmetic Blemish (10% Discount)" and this caused the Product Details page to become unresponsive when selecting that Variant in the dropdown list.
Not the end of the world, just thought I'd mention it.

This was with DNN 7.2.0 and SmithCart 5.68.
