Didn't quite know how to word the Subject, but that describes the end result. When a user is on the cart page the Checkout Button is prominently displayed in top and bottom sections of the screen. It is the same color as other active buttons but doesn’t do anything when pressed. I know this is because the user hasn’t calculated the freight or entered their shipping info. Can’t this button do something with an error message or be “greyed out” or something to indicate that they need to do something before clicking? This is very confusing for end users and really needs a resolution one way or another. Thanks.

I agree with this!

It would be a great help to have the button greyed out or a message saying "Select Shipping to Continue" (or similar).

We are adding the message and will be availible in next release 2.97 hopefully out in a few days depending on how testing goes.

Hi,

Any update on this? I installed version 2.99 and it still does not prompt the user at all when clicking the "checkout" button prior to calculating the shipping. This is a very important usability feature... any update on when a message can be added?

Thanks,

Kevin

As of v3.04 this feature is not in the build I will push to get it into the next release v3.05

Hi guys,

I downloaded and installed 3.05 and it also does not appear to have this functionality. This is quite a serious usability issue for customers, as they will simply think that the checkout feature is broken. It is not intuitive at all that they need to click the "calculate shipping" button first. I have a customer that is unwilling to launch his ecommerce site because of this issue. Is there any way this can please get added into the next release? This thread has promised twice now that it would be added and it has not.

Thanks a bunch... otherwise a great product!

Kevin
