A little backstory: for a while we've had a severe delay receiving order information via email after a customer places an order on the website. It could sometimes take hours before we receive an email notification. I know that it's not my host because our forms module (nextgen) works fine after submitting an email through a contact module)

now, today, I got an alert that our website was offline, our host said there was a loss of the application pool database connection to a database. The last activity that shows in our site log before it lost connection was SC User Email (the order acknowledgement email). Any suggestions for  investigation?

We're using SmithCart Version 6.5 and DotNetNuke 7.02.02

Can you post the exact errors from the dnn event viewer and the windows event viewer so we can research to help find a solution. This is most likely a hosting/IIS issue, but the first step is to look at the actual errors.
