Hi,

   I have tried SmithCart07.35.00 trial version on my dnn test project. I successfully installed it to my dnn and able add category and products to it. But whenever I click on "Add to cart" button(with/without using MiniCart) and go to view cart page for check out no items are there in cart.

Please help me to find out a solution soon.

Hi,
Did you import your products? Did you configure all the cart settings like shipping and tax? Is there an error in the dnn event viewer?

Our project is an education based site where users can join for different courses. For purchasing a course we need this cart. So I don't know what to do with this shipping sections in smithCart. I didn't import any products. I just use smith.BuyNow module in Home page and smith.ProductDetail module in ProductDetail page. What you mean by import products? According to our requirement we supposed to add entries to Smith_Products,Smith_Category and Smith_CategoryProduct tables through our application. We are going to enter our courses as products into Smith_Products table. And we want our site users will be able to see this course listing and able to purchase course from this list. Is it possible using SmithCart? Is there any API to enter products or categories? After CheckOut can we redirect back to a page in our site?

Hi,

I have created a demo dnn site just for checking smithCart functionality. I have mailed that site url and its credentials to email Id "support@smith-consulting.com" with subject "Ticket Number [0BC-20404295-0302]".Please check it let me know about it.We are still stuck on that cart issue.After clicking "Add to Cart " button still there is no items in the cart for checkout.

Hi,

Thanks for your help.Can you please explain how you fix this thing?
Because I have to try the same thing with our actual site. And need little more clarifications on following topics.

1 . Is there any way to redirect to a page in our site after checkout confirmation?

2. As we are suppose to use this cart for buy a course in our site, there won't be the need of any shipping information. Can we avoid filling those shipping information section from checkout page. Currently all fields are required ones.(I have tried to disable "single page checkout" and select "Free shipping" to avoid shipping section, but in this case nothing is showing in "Payment Method" section in next tab.)

3. In demo site which you have fixed, checkout is working fine when I am not logged in. But after log in when I try to checkout no options are showing in "Payment Method"  drop down in "Bill To" section.Please guide me on this issue too.

 You can go through my demo site as you already have site url and credentials. Once you fix it,please share the fix with me as I can do the same with actual site.

hi,

I installed SmithCart7.36 . Still the following issue exist.

ISSUE :- In demo site which you have fixed, checkout is working fine when I am not logged in. But after log in when I try to checkout no options are showing in "Payment Method" drop down in "Bill To" section.

In the payment setup page, in the payment zone tab you only added United States as a payment zone but you have entered Singapore as your country in the checkout. I added all the countries in your payment zone and it works now.

Hi,

Thanks for your help. Payment section is now working fine. But still I am unable to skip shipping section. As per your clarification I select "Free Shipping" and add a zero weight on my product.But still shipping section is there.

You have correctly setup free shipping, to confirm just checkout and you can see that shipping cost is zero. You just need to change the label from "Shipping" to Customer" on the Step1 page. To change the labels open the Step1.resx located in /desktopmodules/smithbuynow/applocalresources.
