1. The "type" field is just stored in the database for information purposes only, the type does not impact any front end functionality on a gift card.

2. When a customer purchases a gift card product from your store, the receiver email is an optional field that is collected on the product details page. The "Receiver Email" is only used if you a purchasing a gift card for someone else. After the successful purchase of a gift card, a confirmation email is automatically sent to the customer who purchased and the admin of the store. The "Receiver Email" is simply saved to the database for future reference, the "Receiver Email" does not receive an automated email after a gift card purchase.

3. How user will get that Gift Card code?

If the person buying the gift card is buying it for someone else they need to email the gift card to the person they purchased it for. If they bought the gift card for themselves then they do nothing.
