Is it possible to use multiple Smith Carts on the same portal? Could a store be placed in one area of the site to sell membership and another copy of the store placed elsewhere for product? They would need to be separately configurable. Any issues?
Thanks in advance

Yes you can run multiple carts in the same portal. When setting up categories and products there is a “Share” checkbox that applies if you have added more than one cart module on different pages in your portal. This feature is used in situations where you want multiple product catalogs on different pages of your website. For example, if you are selling books and computers on your website and you wanted to have one page dedicated to books and another page dedicated to computers. Or if you want a public store and a members only store. If the share checkbox is checked for a particular category or product it will be displayed in all product catalogs on any pages where you have added the shopping cart module. If the share checkbox is not checked then categories or products added to your first cart module will remain separate from categories added to your second cart module. Additionally, the settings for payment gateway, tax, shipping etc can all run independantly as well.

Are you referring to the BuyNow module when you say shopping cart? I need to add BuyNow modules where ever I want to have different products for sale.

I added a second BuyNow to a different tab in DNN. Within the second store admin menu, there are no product showing except for the new one I added. But the store front shows the new product plus all of the product from the first BuyNow configuration. I verified the first BuyNow products and categories are not setup for sharing.

We tested this out in our dev enviroment and multiple buynow modules with the share flag set for categories and products is working in our dev envonment. It is possible that we have something configured differently then you have we sent you login credentials to our test server http://www9.smith-consulting.com/ ?

I don't believe I have credentials to change/view the store admin menu at the link you provided.
I've traded emails with Scott on this issue as well. I've provided him admin access to my site. Maybe one of you can take a look.

Can you send an email to support@smithcart.com and I will send you the credentials to the test portal to see if you can replicate. Its possible that I didnt configure the settings exactly the same as you did.

One thing I noticed in the development site is the use of 0 for sort order. I use a different sort order for each category and product. I don't know if this is related to the problem or not.

Were you able to replicate the error on the test site?

I'm not seeing product appear in the second copy of Buy.Now. What version of DNN is the test site running?
