I have setup Category Quantity Discounts according to page 75 in Smith Carts Users Manual.

Nothing is displayed regarding quanitity discounts on product page or upon checkout, no quantity discount pricing is applied.

Is there more configuration that I must do to enable 'Category Quantity Discount' pricing?

I am not able to replicate this on my test system but there are many different configuration options and I may not have my system configured exactly the way you do. Please login to our test site and try to replicate the issue so we can verify if it’s the build or your site:

Here is the link to our demo site:

Let me clarify please, my website is an Apparel Store at www.signashirt.com where price is determined by the quantities ordered. I have done (below) but Still No Quantity Discounts are applied. I need help as it does no good for me to go to your test site as there are no quantity discounts there either.

I have done the following:
Store > Store Admin Menu > Manage Products > Edit (Product) > Discounts > (Manage Product Quantity Discounts)

Product ID Quantity From Quantity To Product Price
1 1 12 $19.95
1 13 24 $17.95
1 25 36 $15.95
1 37 48 $13.95
1 49 60 $11.95
1 61 72 $9.95

And Also set the same Quantity Prices (Category Quantity Discounts, pg. 74, 92): Store > Store Admin Menu > Manage Categories > Qty Discounts (Product)

Then I went to Store > Settings

Member Pricing and Discounts
Show Member Price: checked
Show Member Prices By Role: checked

Then I purchased and installed the module Role Manager and I don’t even know what it does, but I thought, maybe this would allow the quantity discounts to be displayed and used. Please help

Sorry if wasnt clear in my answer I was asking you to login to our test portal http://www9.smith-consulting.com and configure your category, product and category discount as you have configured on your site and then post back in this thread if you were able to replicate it on our test site. This will help us determine if its an issue with the build, your site or an issue with the way you are configuring things. If you need a userid to the test site please email support@smithcart.com

I just setup www9.smith-consulting.com ‘store’ to display ‘quantity pricing’ but it is not displaying or giving a quantity discount. I do not know or understand why not.

(only questionable issue is with the test site is the fact that I keep clicking ‘show member price’ on cstestpage > store2 > settings > smith cart settings, and it will not save that setting, although I am unsure it needs to be checked to display and adhere by the quantity pricing structure below)

Setup for quantity price discounts.

Item from Store 2

1 – 12 $19.95

13 – 24 $17.95

25 – 36 $15.95

37 – 48 $13.95

49 – 60 $11.95

61 – 72 $9.95

I just tested the "Item from Store 2" product in store 2 on the www9 test site and on the cart page entered a qty of 13 and clicked update and it calculated the price correctly at $233.35. Since you had the quantity discount set for 13 at $17.95 the qty discount is correct. That didnt work for you what am i missing?

Yes, I agree, Quanity Pricing is working yet... not exactly suitable for my needs...

Quantity Pricing should be computed based upon the total order per 'SKU'

If a product SKU has multiple variants such as Size and Color, Quantity Pricing should re-compute based upon the 'Total' items ordered 'BY SKU'... is this possible?

If a user buys a shirt that has 2 variants defined size (small, medium, large) and color (red, green, blue) and adds the product to the cart after selecting variants Shirt (Size = Medium, Color = Red) are you saying you want the cart to treat that as a qty of 2 when calculating qty discounts?

No, that is not what I am saying. I sell B2B and sell larger quantities of the same item, SKU.

We might sell dozens of one SKU in various sizes and colors.

Example:

Quantitiy 12 size small, color red = 12 pieces

Quantity 10 size medium, color blue = 10 pieces

Quantity 9 size large, color white = 9 pieces

As long as this purchase is All The Same SKU , it should be treated as a purchase of 31 pieces with a quanitity discount at the 31 piece price break which would be example, 31 pieces @ $15.95 each. According to the 'quantity discount' pricing I have setup, these should be charged at $15.95 each.

I sell 'shirts' and the price break needs to be applied on the total order per SKU regardless of size or color but TOTAL of the order per SKU.

Assume SKU #01 is a shirt and I rder 10 size small, 10 size medium and 10 size large, this equals 30 pieces price break. (all same sKu)
