Tax exempt shopper?

Is there a way to say that customers in a particular ROLE are tax exempt?

We have customers who have sent in their tax exempt paperwork, and therefore don't pay taxes. But they may be in a taxable area, or buying taxable goods, but not owing tax.

There is no tax exempt flag by role. I recommend the following 2 alternative solutions:

Setup member pricing by role and build tax into your product price
Create a seperate page with another instance of the buynow module for your resellers that don't pay taxes and configure the reseller store to not charge tax.
