Can Smith Cart support the following scenario. "we have some online educational videos (streaming), to which we want to give access to buyers. the access could be based on what kind of subscription they buy, it can be a one month or 3 month or 6 month or 12 month or lifetime access.
Currently the cart supports the following recurring billing intervals:
1. Weekly
2. Monthly
3. Yearly
4. Lifetime
So in your example the cart will not support all the intervals you listed.
Once an individual user buys a particular subscription, he or she would have access to the corresponding online subscription based videos for that particular period of time. we do not need to ship anything. all we do is give access, of course, we do need tax calculations and other features your shopping cart module provides. can you give some guidance? would your shopping cart module work for us?
The cart supports adding users to dnn roles after payment. From the product setup screen there is a section titled “User Role Setup” that provides the following features.
Role(s) to Add after Successful Payment – The shopping cart module allows you to select multiple roles to add a user to upon successful purchase and credit card authorization, the user will be placed in the roles that you choose here. All the currently defined roles in your DNN portal will be available as checkboxes.
Role Expiration (Days) – Roles expiration days is an optional field and allows you to define the number of days to expire the users role after purchase. If role expiration is left blank the role will not expire until you remove the role from the user.
