The thumbnail images generated by the module are a bit pixelated, see screenshot here: http://screencast.com/t/OGU2M2ZhYz. Does this have anything to do the image format? We use PNG format.

Try saving your images using a different format like gif or jpeg. We havnt had any reports of pixelation resizing png images.
I concur. I have also found that PNG and DNN don't always play nice on multiple browsers... as much as I like the PNG format, I've had to make sure I use jpg's (or GIF if I need transparent backgrounds).
