I'm slightly lost.

I have "Shipping by Quantity Ordered" selected, and that is working fine for the United States. However, there are a couple of things I can't seem to figure out.

1) We have different shipping for Hawaii and Alaska

2) When someone from, say Canada (eh?) orders, they don't get ANY shipping choices.

Where can I adjust the shipping for specific states and countries, still by Quantity Ordered?

Greg,

Shipping by quantity doesnt have a state, country selection. If you want to charge different shipping by country and state you need to use the UPS, USPS or FedEx shipping calculators for real time shipping rates or the shipping by zipcode option have a country dropdown that would allow you to configure different shipping rates in the cart by geography. If you would like a quote to add a state and country dropdown to the ship by quantity shipping setup please send an email to sales@smith-consulting.com and we are happy to provide a quote.

Scott,

I have over 150,000 catalogs out there that have shipping by quantity on them. Using the cart shipping calculator is NOT an option. Now, I'm not trying to be a noodge here, but since you guys are doing multiple language support, you need to broaden your scope a little bit and realize that not everyone lives in the United States.

I can't believe that I have to be so granular as to specify that when I funded the Shipping by Quantity Ordered module, that I had to include "OH, and yes, since people can select another COUNTRY in the ship to screen, we'll also need to include the ability to actually SHIP to that country with this new shipping module."

I've got close to $6,000 invested in this cart now. I know it's a $200 program.... but I *really* need this to work.... and I've invested quite a bit of additional development into it. We're gearing up into our busy season now, And now you're telling me that I need to spend more money, because the Shipping by Quantity didn't include the ability to ship to other countries???

I think I'm in the same situation. My client does shipping "Order by Amount", but it's a greater shipping cost for Alaska, Hawaii, Europe, Asia, etc.

We'd still like to have Shipping by Order amount, but higher amounts depending on the country.

Hello,

You could use the Shipping Zone feature. Shipping Zone Management allows you to define shipping zones as follows:

  • By Country
  • By Country and/or State/Region
  • By Home Country and all other Countries (International)

To manage shipping zones navigate to the Shipping screen from the Admin Menu and click the button titled “Zones” at the top of the screen. On the next screen you will find the following fields:

  • Zone Name – The zone name is a friendly name that you choose that describes the zone defined.
  • Country – Select the country from the dropdown list for your zone. Select “ALL” for the zone to apply to all countries.
  • State/Region – Select the state/region from the dropdown list for your zone. Select “ALL” for the zone to apply to all states and regions. If you select a country other than United States and Canada this will be a textbox for you to enter the region for your zone.
  • Zone Ship Cost – Amount to charge for shipping for the zone. Enter a number value without the dollar sign.

Thanks,
