We are running shipping by weight. If you have the url of step 2, you can get around having to pay for shipping. Go to http://chuckswoodbarn.com. Add a product to your cart then browse to https://chuckswoodbarn.com/ShoppingCa... (the second step in shipping) the shipping will say 0 and you can check out without paying shipping. Some of the shipping costs are upwards of $300 on this site. We really need this fixed.

Edit: I tried to verify via your www7 portal, but something is seriously wrong with that install.

You can now do this same thing on your test site. Add a product and add the proper shipping. Then go to the checkout step one. Copy that url and go back. Empty your cart and then go to home and add a product again. THIS TIME, don't select any shipping option on the cart page and just paste in that url. You can effectively checkout with no shipping costs. I'm sure there is an easier way to do this, because I have had a few clients checkout without having any shipping costs. Please look into this.

I too have the same issue - shipping isn't added to the cart, instead TBD is displayed by the shipping price.

If I click the 'update cart' button in checkout the shipping is then displayed.

I purchased Smith Cart in april and am running v2.6.

Any ideas how to correct this?

Could we please get a fix for this? I used to have a checkbox that stated if you didn't have shipping costs that we would charge it, but with you're newest version, the checkbox doesn't show either. I'm kind of just hanging here.

I dont remember a checkbox that stated if you didn't have shipping costs that we would charge it where was the checkbox in the buynow settings under the shipping section?

No, what I had done was to display one of the custom check boxes and put that message next to it and make it required. It was the only way I could ensure that my client could ethically charge for shipping if a user got around not having the shipping included in the price. In your latest update, it didn't fix the shipping issue, and it also broke that feature. Now that checkbox does not show.

What page did you add the required custom checkbox? Are you able to replicate this on the www7 test site?

See this post

I see the checkbox is not showing up on the confirm page I have forwarded this to programming. Regarding shipping, when I unchecked "combine shipping methods" in the buynow module settings the custom shipping by amount is working on the www7 test portal and displays the shipping method express post on the cart page. The combine ship methods checkbox is only applicable when you are using the real time ship calculator (ups, fedex, etc).

I purchased the cart in april and went live in December. This issue is a real worry with a live site. Basically I'm not marketing the site and encouraging sales until I can get a fix for obvious reasons.

I am less interested in having a checkbox to cover my back and more interested in having the shipping costs added at the time of purchase.

Shipping isn't added to the cart, for the first item - instead TBD is displayed by the shipping price.

If I click the 'update cart' button in checkout the shipping is then displayed.

If further items are added to the cart the shipping is shown and shipping for the initial first item is also displayed (replacing the TBD).

I'd be grateful if you could look into this.

This should be fixed in the latest version of the cart v3.98, what version of the cart are you running?

This is not fixed in your test portal if that is running 3.98. I haven't moved up because when I moved to a higher version that you said had fixed this issue, it didn't fix this issue, and also broke the check box issue I was talking about. julia, I am not interested in the checkbox as a long term fix either, it's more of a band aid right now.
