Have reviewed my current configurations of the Smith Shopping Cart with a fine tooth comb most of the day on a DNN Web site for my client and cannot figure out how to correct this error. NOt sure if I have to upgrade from a trial version or what info/bank information I might need from my client or if I'm missing something completely obvious or whatnot. Trial version of the module, and I was able to set up PayPal configurations correctly (for PayPal Sandbox at least while in test/trial mode). The pay now option worked correctly. The credit card option did now work. Got to the Process Payment option after the checkout option of the Shopping Cart and got the error below in red... I have the credit card option checked. Any assistance is appreciated!

Have entered in credit card inforamtion like normal trying to test out and the like as well, checked previous orders and cleared out any old tested orders from the "Manage Orders" option in Store Admin as well to see if those would conflict with testing in any way, if that makes sense.

Just trying to consider everything I've tried to attempt to make the credit card process work.

If you have Paypal Website Payments pro gateway and you are receiving an "Invalid Configuration" message when you click process payment thru the cart it means that your paypal account is not properly configured at paypal.

10500 Invalid Configuration -This transaction cannot be processed due to an invalid merchant configuration. - Occurs when you have not agreed to the billing agreement at Paypal.

Please make sure you have completed the following checklist:

  1. Make sure you've signed up with PayPal for PayPal Website Payments Pro. This is a services provided on top of the standard PayPal package and costs approximately 30$ USD a month.
  2. Have agreed to the billing agreement of PayPal Website Payments Pro?
  3. Have the correct PayPal email address entered in Shopify?
  4. Have given our PayPal API account the appropriate API permissions, as described on the payment preferences page?
