Hello,

First off I want to say that the support here has been outstanding and very quick which I appreciate.

I recently added product variants to my store, and now the 'buy it now' button has changed to an 'options' button in the main store.

Is there any way to change this back while keeping the product variants?

Thanks.

Not currently, if you define product variants it requires the user to go to the product detail page to select the variants before they add to cart thats the reason the button is changed to options to direct the user. Thanks for the compliment on support!

Hmm, this would be a nice feature to have, because I can see it being slightly confusing for customers who see the options button.

Perhaps a work around would be replacing the Options button with a new button image that says 'Details'.

Also, I have another question in regards to product variants -

Is it possible to create a drop down menu that forces the customer to choose one of the options when purchasing? So far I've only accomplished creating two seperate drop down menus, with 1 item in each - but I would like a single drop down, including both items.

I'm not entirely satisfied with the radio buttons, check boxes & drop downs. I have found that with multiple variants, the customer is able to check each of the radio buttons, and each button remains checked while the others are also checked - without any way of un-checking the buttons. The only way to fix this is to refresh the page. This would be confusing to the customer, thinking they are now purchasing both options, and could lead to frustration.

The options button is an image button and can be changed to any button you like just right click on the button and select properties to get the path and you can replace the button with another button that says details.

Not sure I follow your question about creating a dropdown menu what page do you want to create the drop down menu on the product listing or product details page? Regarding the product variant radio buttons on the product detail page if you create a group for the radio button and have say 3 radiobutton options the user can only select one of the radio buttons that is the default behavior of radiobuttons.

Is there a tutorial for setting up product variants? I'm starting to think that maybe I just don't have this set up properly.

To answer your question skelly, I was refering to the product details page where the variants show up. I would like to have a drop down menu with 2-3 options to select, so that one of the options is always selected.

The "ADD OPTIONS" button no longer appears to be a standard image file but is now an embedded text on top of a button image. What file can the button text be found?

Hello,

The file which controls the Add To Cart and Add Options text is the ProductList.ascx file located in the DesktopModules\Smith.BuyNow\App_LocalResources folder.

Thanks,
