Possible to charge CC only after product ships/quantity is reached?

I have a sitiuation where I want to take orders but only once x number of units have sold.

Basically I am selling a product in a group buy, and once x number is sold, I will charge their cards. If x isn't reached, their card is not charged.

Is this possible with Smith Cart?

Currently that feature is not supported in the cart. The only thing that is close is to configure auth only transactions in the gateway setup but you would need to manually capture in the manage order details page and you only have 7-10 days to capture an aut only transaction before the auth expires.
