Shopping Cart Module - Variant Error

We have you Smith Shopping Cart module version 3.99.0. Everything seems to work fine with the product list and the product details page until I add a variant to a product. Once I add a variant to the product the product details page for that product no longer comes up but still does on a product without a variant. The error we receive is

A critical error has occurred.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Is this an issue you have come across and can you fix it or give me a solution?

I just tried to recreate your error on our test site www7.smith-consulting.com and was able to add product variants without any problems. Can you please try and recreate the error on www7.smith-consulting.com, or take a screenshot of your product variant set up screen. If you need a login to the test site, send an email to christian@smith-consulting.com.
