I'm using DNN 5.6.2 and SC 4.21.
If I select "hide quantity" for a given product, the quantity text box still appears in the checkout. Unless I've set something up wrongly, this basically means the quantity is not hidden at all, simply postponed.
Has the "hide quantity" function been added to the checkout pages in more recent versions of Smith Cart?

Hi Daniel,
It depends on where you select the "Hide Quantity feature. If you enable "Hide Quantity" in the Cart settings then the quantity will be hidden on the just the Product List page. If you have "Hide Quantity" enabled in the Product Setup screen then the quantity will be hidden throughout the Cart and on the Cart checkout page.

Thanks for your reply so far.
I bought a maintenance package and upgraded to the newest Smith Cart: 4.38.
The hide-quantity doesn't work for me.
I set the product settings to hide quantity, and then it still shows up during checkout.
I have not set "hide quantity" for all products, just one.

Once this is fixed, a code example would be most helpful (in addition to whatever version update occurs). The reason is that I currently have Smith Cart version 4.21 live, and bought a year maintenance but cannot upgrade until other issues 4.38 are fixed. I'm able to apply code fixes if necessary. It seems like a simple but important bug to fix.

I agree, however we will not be able to provide you with the code as we don’t maintain source code for versions of the cart more than 3 versions back. However i will let you know when the fix is available, it will most likely be included in the next version of the Cart v.4.4 scheduled for release on 7/5.

Understood.
Another option that would be simply and really help me out right now is simply for me to go into the code and set that column in the table to "visible=false". Wherever it is in the current version is probably the same as mine.
i.e. Looking for an ascx file name and approx line number. Is is smith.buynow\cart.ascx or step1.ascx, step2.ascx, etc

I just sent an email to support. It seems that this issue also is manifesting if you hide quantity within general settings (I don’t want quantity on the product list page). It also hides it from the quantity on the cart, which is not good. Is the demo release an old release?

Hi David,
This is how the Cart was designed to work, if you select Hide Quantity under the General Cart setup the quantity box will be hidden globally throughout the Cart. If you want to hide the quantity box on just the ProductListing page then you need to enable the Hide Quantity featyre at the product level in the product Setup screen.
