Where might I change the number for which order id's are generated? I know they start from 0, but I need them to start from a specific number so that our old commerce store order id's can just flow into the new store for refrencing purposes

Once I change that starting number, will I have to change it each time I upgrade the cart?

Thanks!

-Mike

Hi Mike,
Here is a how to article that explains how to change the start order number in the cart http://www.smith-consulting.com/Forums/forumid/13/postid/5488/scope/posts.aspx . The change you make to re seed your order number will not be overwritten when you upgrade so you should be fine upgrading the cart.

I should have tested before I marked as resolved :-P

The change was easy enough, but when I go to save, I get this error message (see attached screenshot). Any ideas why? I removed all of the orders from my orders table just in case that was throwing it off

Was there a fix to this? Do I have to drop and re-create the detination table? I don't want to goof anything up. The exisiting orders that I have in the table are just test orders anyways, so I don't need to keep them.
