Anyone else think it's odd that Smith cart accepts duplicate SKU's?

Can you explain the logic behind this and that if this is the case then how is import supposed to correctly update existing SKU's?

I noticed I was able to "clone" a product and leave the SKU the same.

However, when I tried to edit the product I got the error "SKU already exists in catalog".

Shouldn't you be forced to enter a new SKU when you clone the product?

In the BuyNow module settings "Product Listing Setup" section there is a checkbox titled "Force Unique Sku". If you check that box the cart will require unique skus be saved.
