DNN Version: 5.6.3
Cart Version: 4.43 (Trial Version)

I have set up the store to calculate GST at 15% and to always tax shipping. Tax is inclusive of the product price. Using PayPal sandbox i've completed an order and the following issues came up:

This is what shows up in the auto generated customer email:

Thank you for your order. Your Order Total is: $0.00 (this is incorrect)

SubTotal:    $90.00 (this is correct)
Discount :    -$0.00
Shipping Fee :    $8.00 (this is correct)
Handling Charge :    $0.00
Total (incl. GST)    $0.00 (this is incorrect)
GST Included    $0.00 (this is incorrect)

This is what shows up in the auto generated customer email:

Thank you for your order. Your Order Total is: $98.00 (this is incorrect, shipping is set at $8 but no tax has been added)

SubTotal:    $90.00 (this is correct)
Discount :    -$0.00
Shipping Fee :    $8.00 (this is correct)
Handling Charge :    $0.00
Total (incl. GST)    $11.74 (this is incorrect, the amount should be 11.74 + 1.20)
GST Included    $98.00 (this is incorrect as it doesn't include 15% tax on shipping)

I then went into order management and manually resent the order emails to the customer and got different results:

This is what shows up in the generated customer email and the email that goes to the store admin:

Thank you for your order. Your Order Total is: $98.00 (this is incorrect)

SubTotal:    $90.00 (this is correct)
Discount :    -$0.00
Shipping Fee :    $8.00 (this is correct)
Handling Charge :    $0.00
Total (incl. GST)    $11.74 (this is incorrect, the amount should be 11.74 + 1.20)
GST Included    $98.00 (this is incorrect)

I then logged in as the customer and went to account management to view the order:

This is what displays in the customers order history and the customers invoice:

Sub Total:     $90.00 (this is correct)
Tax:     $11.74 (this is incorrect, the amount should be 11.74 + 1.20)
S&H:     $8.00 (this is correct)
Order Total:     $109.74 (this is incorrect, the gst is no longer inclusive?)

I'm not sure where to start with sorting this out, we are ready to purchase the cart software and launch the site. Has anyone else found these issues and managed to fix them?

Many thanks for your assistance.

Hi Andrew,

I just tried to re-produce this issue on my test portal and was unable to replicate the issue of the emails showing incorrect amounts, but I may not have the exact same configuration as you. Can you login to our test site http://www7.smith-consulting.com/ running v.4.52 and try to replicate the issue. This will determine if the issue is with the latest version of the cart or an issue with your specific dnn portal/cart install.

Please send an email to kevin@smith-consulting.com if you need a login.

Thanks,

Hi Kevin,

I have sent you an email, many thanks for your reply.

I have noticed that tax is calculated on shipping when the customer selects their shipping method but on the Confirm Order page the tax on shipping has been removed.

Hi Andrew,

Programming will be addressing this issue this week, the fix for this will most likely be in the release of Cart v.4.56 scheduled for release 8/29/11.

Thanks,

Thanks for the update (and the tip on getting the notification emails from the forum). Unfortunately I can't wait until the next release to go live due to pressures from the client. I'll use what we have and update when it comes out.

I've installed the new version and can confirm that tax is now being carried through the checkout process for shipping. Unfortunately the customers invoices still calculate incorrectly as they still ad the included tax to the order total.

Also, after installing the new version the confirmation emails no longer send at all. No emails after a customer purchase or when clicking the 'Send Order Email' button in the manage orders admin section.

2 entries are generated in the event log every time i try to send confirmation emails as follows:

StackTrace : at Smith.DNN.Modules.BuyNow.SCMail.SendMail(Int32 buyNowTabModuleID, CustomerInfo customer, StoreOrdersInfo order, BillingAccountInfo account, EmailLabelInfo ei, BuyNowSettingsInfo bi, UserInfo ui, InvoiceToInfo invoiceInfo, String emailType) at Smith.DNN.Modules.BuyNow.ManageOrderDetail.SendMail(String emailType)
Server Name: WINPLESK7

and also.....

Error : Index was outside the bounds of the array.
Server Name: WINPLESK7

these appear one after the other each time since the upgrade.

All of the sales made today via PayPal website payments standard still say Awaiting Payment. I have auto return set up in PayPal. I need to test this myself which I will do to see if it's just the customers not letting PayPal return them.

Kevin, I've sent you an email directly but thought best to post updates to the forum....
