Hi SC,

In the change log, version 4.30 says you guys introduced "collapsable section heads" in the BuyNow settings.

I'm using SC 4.5.2 (and DNN 6.0.1) and I can't find this feature. Perhaps I'm just tired and missing it, but there is nothing in the user manual at present to document this.

Could you point me in the right direction?

Hi Daniel,

This feature is referring to the various sections within the Cart Settings such as "General Store Setup", Payment Gateway Setup" or "Shipping and Handling Setup". This feature was added to improve the interface for configuring the many features of the Cart and decrease the amount of time spent scrolling through the full list of settings.

Oh ok, it's just for the settings page. I thought it meant you could put headings in the buy-now module.

If I would like to in fact have headings inside the buy-now module, would it be a good idea to have two separate buy-now modules on the same page? (And show the containers as the "headings")?

E.g.

Content pane -

Packages (Buy Now Module 1)
Product 1 Product 2

Spare Parts (Buy Now Module 2)
Product 3 Product 4

I suppose categories would be the other way to go, but the hearing are all in the dropdown which people seem to ignore.

Hi Daniel,

You timing couldn't be more perfect. In the next release we have added a new buynow setting in the product listing setup section titled "Show All Products on Single Page."

When "Show All Products on Single Page" is selected the following will happen:

  • All products will be displayed on one page
  • The records dropdown at the top of the catalog will be hidden
  • The navigation controls at the botton will be hidden
  • If "Show Category Description" is checked the category description will be displayed once above products in the respective category
