I have a ticket selling site that I have created here:

http://mmtickets.cboss-staged.com/

for the product listed here as an example: http://mmtickets.cboss-staged.com/ClickforTickets/ProductDetails/tabid/69/ProductID/1/Default.aspx

I have the following variants setup.

SortOrder Variant Group Sku Variant Name Display Type Required Qty On Hand Variant Image Price Adj Weight Adj Conditional Group Select
0 Section A1C Center RadioButtons 247 a1-center.jpg 0.00 0 Section Edit Delete
0 Section A1L Left RadioButtons 199 a1-left.jpg 0.00 0 Section Edit Delete
0 Dinner Dinner No DropdownList 1   0.00 0 Dinner Edit Delete
0 Season Pass 1T No DropdownList 1   0.00 0 Season Pass Edit Delete
0 Section A1R Right RadioButtons 199 a1-right.jpg 0.00 0 Section Edit Delete
0 Season Pass SP Yes DropdownList 645   50.00 0 Season Pass Edit Delete
0 Dinner Dinner Yes DropdownList 645   25.00 0 Dinner Edit Delete

I can safely assume that if someone purchases an A1L item with a Dinner... each of the Qtys for those items will be decreased by 1 correct? Is there anything special I have to do to keep track of Qtys in the store. This client wants inventory management and I belive this is the way to set it up.

Let me know - Thanks.

Hello,

Smith Cart allows you to configure product variant inventory on an unlimited number of product variant combinations. In order for the Cart to manage your product variant inventory you need to check the “Enable Inventory Management” checkbox in the BuyNow module settings under the general cart setup section. When “Enable Inventory Management” is checked the cart will check for available quantity on hand, if quantity on hand for a product variant is less than the quantity the user has added to the cart, then the cart will display an “Out of Stock” message and not allow the user to proceed past the cart screen.

To load the Variant Inventory screen click the “Variant Inventory” sub menu button at the top of the product management screen. On the next screen, to setup variant inventory, check the variant names, enter the SKU and quantity on hand and click the Add Variant Inventory Button.

Thanks

Hello,

If the Product Variants share the same main product, on the Cart page they will displayed as the same line item with a shared quantity however if you have Enabled Inventory Management and configured your Variant Inventory, the quantities of the Variants should be decremented accordingly on the Variant Inventory screen of the Product.

Thanks,

so when a qty of the variant reaches 0 (zero) will it display sold out for that variant?

If you go here: http://mmtickets.cboss-staged.com/

and click on any one of the tickets for options... you will see various options... if I sell out of all left side seats for a ticket.. will it display sold out only for that section or grey it out so you can only select right and center... Please confirm.

Or must I create a product entry for each of the sections to properly depict the qtys and the sold out messages.

Let me know. Thanks!

Hello,

The "Sold Out" message has not been programmed to work in conjunction with the Variant Inventory to check the availability of the Quantity on Hand for Variants from the Product Details page. the Variant Inventory feature will determine the Quantity on Hand available for Variants on the Cart page and display an "Out of Stock" message when checking out.

If you would like to request this feature to be added the Dev Roadmap please post in our Enhancment Requests forum here:http://www.smith-consulting.com/Forum...

To be provided with a quote to develop this feature, please send a message with a link to this post to sales@smith-consulting.com. We quote all features enhancements below cost since it is enhancing the module and in most cases we can start work on the new feature within a week.

Thanks,
