Hi Dave,
Thanks - found the ORDERNUMBER substitutable.
As for pick lists, here's the scenario (unless you can suggest something better)...
The online store I'm putting together is for a school, and the first big "project" we have is for parents to be able to buy their child's text books for the next school year (starting Sept 2010). This is entirely a voluntary project and the purpose of it is to raise funds for the school.
The way it'll work is that the store will be online for approx 3 weeks during June. Once we have received all the orders we'll know how much stock to order. We need to allow parents to pay by cheque, cash or PayPal. We can track the PayPal payments ok, but we'll need the customer to write the order number on the reverse of the cheque, or envelope for cash payments sent into school.
Once the stock is in, we'll need to print off the "Pick List". This is the list of SKU's the "picker" will need to put into a bag, ready for the parents to collect on an agreed day. Also on the pick list will need to be the order reference number and probably the customer's name. Once the order has been picked, the picker initials it as complete and it is stapled to the bag.
I'd like to be able to generate an Excel sheet (from a SQL query) which can be used to print a nicely formatted (i.e. easy to use for the picker) pick list.
Thanks,
Jeff
