I have gone back to version 3.88 but still have a problem.

In my setup my company has a very basic need.

We want to allow our customers to order via a purchase order and they will be ordering just a serial number or groups of numbers. I have added a product and also uploaded serial numbers.

I have been able to setup the module so that an order of 1 works very nicely.  However, when I try to order more than one the invoice gets the math correct but it only allocates one serial number.  This is visible in the confirmation screen but also by viewing the product serial number screen.

Hi Scott,

I have not been able to replicate this issue with the latest release v.4.60. Do you have multiple Serial Numbers assigned per product or are you checking out with multiple products? I know in another post you indicated that you were using DNN 4 which the latest version of the Cart is not compatible with. I recommend you upgrade you DNN to v.5.6.3 to provide a more stable environment for your site.

I have a site upgrade to DNN 5.6 and I have installed smith cart 4.6, I am still seeing the same problem.

my store is setup in a very basic manner at this time.  I have one product and for this given product I have indicated that 14 are in inventory and I have uploaded 14 serial numbers.  I also have the store setup to only accept purchase orders.

When I go to place a test order I place a qty of 2 to the cart and the price is calculating fine.  When in the cart I can see that the qty on hand is 14.  When I go to check out everything goes fine but only 1 serial number is given in the confirmation.  When I go in to look at the serial number assignment only 1 was assigned!

Is a setting not correct?

I forgot to add that I have "Enable Inventory Management" set to true (checked)

Also, when I come back in to make a new order the qty on hand still says 14, it was never decreased at all.

Hi Scott,

In regards to the quantity on hand not decreasing I have not reproduced this issue, do you have variants setup for the product?

Regarding the Serial Numbers, I can confirm that when multiple quantities of the same product are purchased one serial number will be assigned to the order. I have talked with programming and it their response is the Serial Number Assignment feature was designed to assign multiple serial numbers if multiple line items are purchased, not if multiple quantities of a single product are purchased. I will update the documentation to describe the functionality in more detail.

I am not sure why somebody would want to use serial numbers then let somebody buy a quantity more than one but assume the serial number is attached to all of the items.

I will ask for a quote thanks.
