Hi there,

I was wondering if your product would be able to get invoice/payment details generated in the shopping cart and then to an output file so that we can load onto our system?

Also, one more question if I have a registered user of DNN with their address details will your shopping cart pick up this information or will a user need to reenter their details when making a purchase/check out?

Thanks

Jason

Hi Jason,

Regarding you inquiry about the Cart Invoicing, the Cart includes Invoice template management which allows you to fully manage and customize the invoices that are generated from the manage order details page and the my accounts module.

In regards to the "output file", kindly clarify which information needs to be loaded into your system.

The Sign In and Registration Page Setup section located in the Cart Settings allows you to configure how the cart handles user sign up, account creation, and registration. The purpose of this Sign in screen is to allow the user to login prior to the checkout screens so they do not have to reenter their shipping and billing information. If the user enters a valid login ID and password then their shipping and billing information will be automatically populated on Step 1 and Step 2 of the checkout. If the user is a new user and clicks the “Continue” button they have the option to checkout as a guest or create an account with the information collected in the checkout process. For more information on the Sign-In and Registration page please see pg.102 of our Product Manual here: http://www.smith-consulting.com/Porta...

Thanks,

Hi Kevin,

Thank you for the reponse.

Ideally we would require:

Header:

Member number (Username)
Invoice Date

Each detail line:

Invoice Line Qty
Invoice Line Description
Invoice Line Amount (Goods and Tax)

Status:

Paid/Not Paid
Payment details

Hi Kevin,

Thank you for the information.

I noticed that your product also offers quick books integration to some level. Are these outputs of data in a particular format? For example could I export the data and have it passed over to our system?

We ideally would like our system integrated so we could pass an output file of the orders/customers to our Product/

Thanks

Jason

Hi Jason,

Smith Cart provides the ability to export customer and order data from the Cart database to CSV and IIF files that can then be imported into QuickBooks. For more information and instructions please see pg. 264 of the Product Manual here: http://www.smith-consulting.com/Porta...

Thanks,

Thanks for the information Kevin.

I just had a few more things I would like clarified.

I cannot see that Payment Method or Payment is recorded for extract to csv assuming that the User has paid online. In this model would a user be required to post them as cash in their accounting system?

Also, I could not see that a Username is logged against the Order data, would this be a difficult task to add as we would ideally like to link up their unique Username to their order rather than just First Name and Last Name which could be the same among users.

Thanks

Jason

Hi Jason,

Currently, all the fields which are supported and available for exporting into Quickbooks are listed in the Manual. If you would like to receive a fixed quote to add any additional field currently not supported, please send an email with a link to this forum post to sales@smith-consulting.com.

Also, as a possible solution we are looking for a few clients to help test an new feature currently in beta development called Smith Quickbooks Connector which connects directly to your SmithCart store to download customer and order information from SmithCart and posts directly to QuickBooks. We are looking for at least 2 good SmithCart customers each from US, UK and Australia. Ideally, we would like to email a quick survey of options and possibly setup a separate forum to discuss the ways to make this add-on as simple and usable as possible. If you are interested, please email me at kevin@smith-consulting.com

Thanks,
